This is a private information resource, not a Madison Parish or Louisiana government service. It cannot confirm custody, release anyone, change a record, or act for a sheriff, court, jail, or corrections agency.
Nature of the Site
Madison Parish Released Inmates organizes links, contacts, and general explanations about public release records and official search channels. It is independently operated and has no affiliation with Madison Parish, the Madison Parish Sheriff, Louisiana DPS&C, a court, a correctional facility, BOP, ICE, or another public body. An official answer must come from the agency that created or maintains the record.
Acceptable Use
Visitors may use the site only for lawful, purpose-neutral research and communication. The following conduct is prohibited:
- breaking a law or violating another person's rights;
- attempting unauthorized access to the site, a search provider, or an agency system;
- introducing malware, scraping at a harmful rate, or disrupting service;
- impersonating another person or misrepresenting the source of a request;
- harassing, threatening, stalking, or exploiting a person named in a record; and
- reusing information for a purpose barred by these terms or applicable law.
Public availability does not remove duties imposed by privacy, court, expungement, or other laws. A booking or arrest is not proof of guilt.
No FCRA Use
This site is not a consumer reporting agency as defined by the Fair Credit Reporting Act. Information here or reached through a linked tool must not be used for credit, employment, insurance, tenant screening, or another decision governed by the FCRA. The site does not verify records to the standard required for a consumer report and does not provide consumer reports.
Outside Services and Links
Links may lead to Madison Parish offices, Louisiana agencies, statutes, courts, federal locators, and private search providers. A link is supplied for navigation and does not endorse the destination, its content, its price, or its privacy practices. Outside services operate under their own terms. The site does not control their availability, labels, search results, updates, or handling of submitted information.
Service Provided As Is
The site and its content are provided “as is” and “as available.” To the fullest extent allowed by law, no express or implied warranty is made about accuracy, completeness, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, noninfringement, continuous access, or freedom from errors. Government contacts, portal fields, office hours, fees, and records can change without notice.
A visitor must verify material facts with the originating office before acting. The Louisiana Public Records Law and specialized corrections, court, or expungement rules may limit what a custodian can release.
Limits of Liability
To the maximum extent Louisiana law permits, the site and its owners, contributors, and service providers are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive loss arising from use, inability to use, reliance on content, an outside link, a delayed update, or unauthorized access. Any direct liability is limited to the amount, if any, paid to this site for the specific use that led to the claim.
Your Indemnity
A user agrees to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless the site, its owners, contributors, and providers from claims, costs, liabilities, and reasonable legal fees arising from the user's unlawful conduct, breach of these terms, misuse of information, or violation of another person's rights.
Ownership and Permissions
Original writing, organization, branding, and design on this site are protected by applicable intellectual-property law. Government records and linked public materials remain subject to their own legal status. No permission is granted to copy the site's protected material, remove attribution, imitate branding, or use it commercially beyond what law allows without written consent.
Changes to These Terms
These terms may be revised when the service, vendors, or law changes. A current version will be posted here. Continued access after publication means the visitor accepts the revised terms from that point forward.
Access May End
Access may be restricted, suspended, or revoked at any time, with or without notice, when needed to protect the service, enforce these terms, respond to misuse, or for another lawful reason.
Louisiana Governing Law
Louisiana law governs these terms, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute must be brought in a court with proper jurisdiction unless controlling law requires a different forum. References to public records should be read with the current Louisiana Public Records Law, R.S. 44:1 and following sections.
Severability
If a court finds one provision invalid or unenforceable, that part will be narrowed or removed only as necessary. The remaining provisions continue in effect. A failure to enforce one term does not waive the right to enforce it later.
Terms Questions
General questions about these terms may be sent through the Contacts page. Custody, release, court, and record questions must go to the responsible government office.
